Show Notes

Join us for the first episode of what is sure to be an informative and entertaining new format.

Every week a trio from our steering group (and the occasional special guest) will discuss a number of cases featured in the weekly Free Speech Union newsletter. This is your chance to get a deeper dive into our current case file and to understand the many perspectives that collectively make up the steering group of your union.

Jonathan Ayling, Dane Giraud, and Ani O'Brien kick off by discussing the public service advisor censored by her boss for using the term 'male-bodied' and the impact of regional council's 'Codes of Conduct' on democracy. The team then wrestle with the $14,000 bill handed to the 'Freedom and Rights Coalition' by Christchurch City Council for an 'unauthorized' protest and offer a balanced assessment of the complaint made by Dr. Souixie Wiles and Sean Hendy against the University of Auckland www.fsu.nz/join
